‘Lipps Service’ Welcomes Peaches, The Hives

Provocative Canadian artist Peaches and Swedish rockers the Hives are the guests on the two latest installments of the Lipps Service podcast, speaking with host Scott Lipps about their latest projects and the inspirations behind them.

The artist born Merrill Nisker in Toronto takes Lipps from singing at bar and bat mitzvahs as a kid and studying theater, discovering electronic music and helping pioneer the electroclash movement in the late 1990s. It also explores Peaches’ first new album in a decade, No Lube So Rude, a bold and unapologetic effort that tackles identity, aging, sexuality and political freedom through her signature blend of electro, punk and performance art.

Meanwhile, the Hives entertain Lipps as they kick off their 2026 Roll Out the Red Carpet Tour in Nashville. The band dives into their explosive live reputation, the bands that inspired them and the artists they believe are carrying punk and rock forward today. They talk about their favorite Ramones songs, the ultimate Hives song tournament and an upcoming Third Man Records release featuring covers of Bo Diddley and the Modern Lovers.
