Aviator Nation Dreamland has partnered with SPIN to present a very special acoustic performance from Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and guitar phenom Marcus King in Nashville on July 29th.
Aviator Nation Dreamland is a 70s inspired event venue originating in Malibu and brought to the heart of Nashville. Dreamland calls home to the location previously loved as Two Old Hippies, and continues to provide a vibrant, unique space that celebrates music as well as the community it brings. Featuring a 600 person capacity, the July 29th show will be a remarkable intimate experience for the Marcus King audience.
More from Spin:
The highly anticipated show will occur in between legs of the Marcus King Band’s massive ongoing ‘Darling Blue Pt. 2 Tour’ of North America, which runs through late September and includes major festival slots at Summerfest, Telluride Blues & Brews and Bourbon & Beyond.
Stand-alone acoustic performances from King are infrequent as he primarily plays with his full band, although he did tour with guitarist and bandmate Drew Smithers on their Winter 2024 – 2025 “Intimate Acoustic Duo Tour.” However, the Americana star has been known to release acoustic material like 2024’s Live From The Bluebird Café and deliver exclusive stripped-back performances like his beloved CMT Studio Sessions.
It’s already been a very active 2026 for the Greenville, SC native and his band. Following the release of last year’s widely acclaimed and deeply personal Darling Blue, The Marcus King Band dropped a companion album, No Room For Blue, on May 1st and hit the road to support it with dates up and down the East Coast last month.
Recent years have seen King cross over from blues guitar prodigy to accomplished songwriter, substantially broadening his fanbase in the process. No Room For Blue features nine new songs that explore King’s inner journeys to let go of old love and overcome addiction. The project is rounded out by three reimagined tracks including a reworking of King’s fan-cherished “Delilah,” the Billy Strings duet “Dirt – Macon version” and a cover of The Allman Brothers’ “Ramblin’ Man” – which has been a longtime staple of the band’s live set.
The July 29th performance presents fans with the rare opportunity to catch King in a fully- acoustic setting in Music City. General tickets, VIP Packages and more information about Marcus King’s very special Aviator Nation Dreamland show are available here.
