Trey Anastasio, Billy Strings Team For November Benefits

Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio and bluegrass star Billy Strings are joining forces for two special concerts this fall, with both artists backed by the Trey Anastasio Band and all proceeds benefiting Anastasio’s Divided Sky Foundation. The shows are set for Nov. 20-21 at DCU Center Arena in Worcester, Ma., bringing together two of the most distinctive improvisational forces in contemporary American music for a pair of performances in support of addiction recovery.

The concerts will benefit Divided Sky, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Anastasio founded to make high-quality addiction care more affordable and accessible. Its Residential Recovery Program in Ludlow, Vt., combines the 12 Steps with mindfulness, music, community and nature, offering guests a personalized path toward lasting recovery.

Proceeds from the Worcester shows will help the foundation maintain the quality and individualized nature of its care, keep costs within reach and provide scholarships to people who need financial assistance. More than 95% of guests who have completed the program say they would recommend Divided Sky to a friend or loved one. A limited number of tickets and Patron packages are available now through tomorrow (Sept. 9) at 3 p.m. ET. Remaining tickets go on sale Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. ET.

Strings announced the shows on Instagram, calling Anastasio a “dear friend.” The artists previously teamed at Strings’ 2022 show at the Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York, and again in July during an Anastasio acoustic gig in Grand Rapids, Mi.

Strings just released his new Reprise album, So Much for Goodbyes, and has tour dates booked through February 2027. He also logged time this year in Australia recording new music with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, a release date for which has yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Anastasio is on a break this month until Phish regroups for a fall run of shows starting Oct. 2-4 in Atlantic City, N.J.
