Death Cab For Cutie Reveals ’27 Tour, Video

Death Cab for Cutie will be back on the road in 2027 in continued support of its ANTI- album I Built You a Tower, with newly announced dates beginning March 11 in Nashville and running through April 16 in Asheville, N.C. Click here for ticket details. The shows will follow an ongoing trek through the U.K., Europe, Japan and Australia, which next visits Dublin tonight (Sept. 17).

Alongside the tour announcement, Death Cab has shared a new video for “Stone Over Water,” the latest single from I Built You a Tower. The band describes the song as being for anyone who has tried to convince themselves — and everyone else — that they’re fine when they are very much not.

Created and directed by musician and animator Sean Solomon, the clip uses slapstick cartoon humor to offset the song’s emotional weight. Inspired by cartoonists such as Sergio Aragonés (MAD), Solomon centers the video on a little character having a difficult day, ultimately turning its melancholy into a message about empathy and the possibility of finding relief by helping others.
