Keen-eyed observers wondering about the identify of an act named TOMORA who appeared on a series of 2026 festival lineups now have the scoop, as the Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and Norwegian vocalist AURORA have laid claim to the moniker. The pair’s debut single for Capitol Records, “Ring the Alarm,” is out now in tandem with an Adam Smith-directed video.
AURORA previously guested on the song “Eve of Destruction” from the Chems’ Grammy-winning 2019 album No Geography. Rowlands later produced portions of AURORA’s 2024 LP What Happened to the Heart?, leading to the new collaboration. More music is expected to follow.
More from Spin:
“We wanted TOMORA to be a band, not two individuals. It’s our musical feeling come to life,” Rowlands and AURORA said. As for “Ring the Alarm,” it has been stealthily included without a proper introduction during recent Chemical Brothers DJ sets, leading to robust online discussion about its identity.
As of now, TOMORA’s live debut will come at the Coachella festival in Indio, Ca., in April. Festival appearances at Lisbon’s NOS Alive, Czechia’s Colours of Ostrava, Oslo’s Øya and Holland’s Down The Rabbit Hole will follow.
