Brown County Bull Bash

Get ready for a night of rodeo thrills and family fun! The 6th Annual Brown County Bull Bash kicks off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Earl Q. Wilson Arena, located at the Brown County Fairgrounds on U.S. Highway 377 South.

Admission is $12 for adults, and kids 15 and under get in free with an accompanying adult. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Brown County Youth Fair Premium Sale.

This year’s event features top-notch rodeo entertainment, including Riggin Ray, the youngest bullfighter in the U.S., and clown comedian Jeff “Jackrabbit” Harris. The evening also includes bull teams, mutton bustin’, freestyle bullfights, and even a chance to ride the mechanical bull.

Back for its second year is the Bull Bash Queen Contest, where the winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship, a belt buckle, a crown, and 10% of her ticket sales. For entry details, contact Mary Ware at 325-439-7028.

Also returning is the Bull Bash Photography Contest, presented by Sutherland Photography. With a $10 entry fee, participants may submit one 8×10 photo per category: Amateur, Professional, and Youth. Categories include Animals, Still Life, Action, and Miscellaneous. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category, plus grand and reserve champions in each division.
