Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard will host the first episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live of 2026, with musical guest A$AP Rocky joining the fun on Jan. 17.
Rocky’s long-awaited new album, Don’t Be Dumb, will be released the day before by A$AP Worldwide/RCA. It’s the follow-up to 2018’s Testing, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
More from Spin:
The project has been preceded by the tracks “Highjack” featuring Jessica Pratt, the J. Cole-assisted “Ruby Rosary,” “Tailor Swif” and “Pray4DaGang.” Rocky has previously tipped Pharrell, Mike Dean, Metro Boomin, the Alchemist and Danny Elfman as production collaborators.
The cover art for Don’t Be Dumb was created in collaboration with filmmaker Tim Burton, who says, “I loved working with an artist like Rocky — it was a great collaboration. He spoke to me about his alter egos and I just drew my interpretations of them. He told me he wanted to make being a dad cool again, which was beautiful, even though I’ve never been able to achieve that myself.”
As for Wolfhard, his first SNL hosting appearance will come just after the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things concludes on Dec. 31.
Having recently signed on to direct a film version of the Replacements biography Trouble Boys, he also directed the first music video for the classic 1973 George Harrison single “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth),” which was released last week.
