Foreigner’s Lou Gramm Talks Solo LP On ‘Lipps Service’

Former Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm is the guest on the latest installment of the Lipps Service podcast, speaking with host Scott Lipps about his first solo album since 1989, Released, which is based around music recorded nearly 40 years ago but never finished until recently.

Gramm also discusses his roots in the band Black Sheep and getting dropped by its record label before receiving a fateful call from Mick Jones to join Foreigner, which went on to massive mainstream success around the globe. He also breaks down encounters with Aretha Franklin and Heart, working with producer Mutt Lange, the power of ballads and the current state of Foreigner, which now tours without any original members.
