103.5 The X Brownwood Rocks!

After a seven-year hiatus, Louisiana-based indie-pop band GIVERS are reuniting with their original lineup for an April 23 performance at the Toulouse Theatre before their set the next day at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
Tiffany Lamson, Taylor Guarisco, Josh LeBlanc, Kirby Campbell, William Henderson, and Nick Stephan will perform their 2011 Glassnote debut, In Light, at both shows. The group was formed in nearby Lafayette during an impromptu 2008 gig after another band canceled, leading to an entirely improvised first set. Their self-titled debut was released a year later.
More from Spin:
“Giddy is the default mode on the breezy debut by this Lafayette, Louisiana quintet,” SPIN wrote in its contemporary review of In Light. “Everything sparkles — bubbly beats, luminous guitars and synths, and most of all, the exuberant voices of Taylor Guarisco and Tiffany Lamson (who apparently have unfettered access to happy meds). Accordingly, In Light is best absorbed in small portions, allowing you to savor the seriously catchy melodies and uplifting vibes.”
GIVERS have been inactive since a handful of appearances in New Orleans in 2019. Click here for tickets to the April 23 show, which is part of Live for Live Music and GMP Live’s Fest by Nite concert series. Live for Live Music is a subsidiary of SPIN.
