Jimmy Gnecco Talks OURS And More On ‘Lipps Service’

Musician Jimmy Gnecco is the guest on the latest installment of the Lipps Service podcast, speaking with host Scott Lipps about the 25th anniversary of his band OURS’ Disorted Lullabies album and his current projects and touring plans.

Gnecco discusses OURS’ experiences after signing with DreamWorks Records, working with producer Steve Lillywhite while turning down Rick Rubin, teaming with Queen’s Brian May on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack and the “what if” moments that could have led him to join Velvet Revolver, INXS or Alice in Chains. He also breaks down how Run-D.M.C. and Michael Jackson served as key early influences and lists his top five favorite vocalists and rock albums of all time.
