Oasis Tour Doc Set For September IMAX Release

The long-anticipated Oasis reunion tour documentary will open in select IMAX and cinemas worldwide beginning Sept. 11, before streaming exclusively on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S. later this year. The as-yet-untitled film is presented by Disney, Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision.

It follows Liam and Noel Gallagher’s Oasis Live ’25 tour, the British band’s first in 16 years, through rehearsals, backstage moments and the siblings’ first joint interviews since the early 2000s. Oasis’ return to the road reportedly grossed in the neighborhood of half a billion dollars (the group will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year).

The new feature is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace (Shut Up and Play the Hits, Meet Me in the Bathroom) and written, produced and developed by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, A Thousand Blows).

“I genuinely cannot wait for the world to see this film,” Knight says. “I believe it captures the spirit and emotion of a global cultural moment and does justice to the wit and genius of two exceptional people. I wanted to tell the story of the brothers and the band, but just as important, the story of the fans whose lives the music has touched and sometimes changed forever. It is also the story of how music and songwriting can unite generations, cultures, countries and in a time of spite and division, give us all some reason to hope.” 

“Opportunities like this are incredibly rare,” adds Disney’s Eric Schrier. “The film is an intimate story of reconciliation, the power of music, and Oasis, one of the most successful and influential acts of all time.”

Producers include Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley, while Kate Shepherd, Marisa Clifford, Tom Mackay, Krista Wegener, Isabel Davis and Tim O’Shea executive produced. The creative team also features Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather and Tarn Willers, alongside cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos.
