Olivia Rodrigo is taking her advocacy off the stage and turning it into one heck of an event. The 23-year-old pop star is launching Daisy Chain Fields, a new single-day festival set for Aug. 29 at Great Park in Irvine, Ca., bringing together an all-women lineup of artists and organizations dedicated to supporting women and girls.
Across two stages, Daisy Chain Fields will feature performances from Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Bikini Kill, Garbage, Mitski, Santigold, The Breeders, Rachel Chinouriri, KATSEYE, Die Spitz, Eli, Quiet Light and Not for Radio, with special guests Karen O, Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks. It’s unclear if Rodrigo herself will perform or otherwise participate.
More from Spin:
“Daisy Chain Fields is built on the belief that joy, community, and creativity can inspire meaningful change,” Rodrigo said in announcing the festival. “I’m so excited to celebrate this incredible lineup of women, and I’m grateful to all of our partners in helping us make this festival come to life. By bringing together women in music and organizations helping shape a better future for women and girls, I hope we can build a community that inspires hope and positive change.”
Produced by C3 Presents and Live Nation, the event aims to combine music, education and activism, with net proceeds benefiting nonprofits focused on issues ranging from reproductive rights to economic empowerment and domestic violence prevention. Click here for more information.
Daisy Chain Fields is envisioned as something bigger than just a festival. In a mission statement published on the event’s web site, Rodrigo described it as “a music festival founded on the belief that joy, community and creativity can inspire meaningful change,” adding that music and collective experience can serve as “enduring drivers of progress and social change.”
“The festival celebrates the voices, artistry, and contributions of women in music,” she wrote. “Daisy Chain offers more than live performances; it provides opportunities for education, dialogue, and engagement around issues affecting women and girls in the United States and globally.”
The singer emphasized that the festival’s goal extends beyond philanthropy. “Daisy Chain’s core purpose is to cultivate joy and shared understanding, creating space for meaningful moments of connection across generations and communities,” she wrote, concluding with a fitting image: “Daisies are wild and beautiful. As a chain, they are strong and unbreakable.”
Beyond the music, attendees can expect nonprofit activations, community art experiences, fan pop-ups, local vendors, and immersive installations. Partner organizations include Planned Parenthood, Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, the Center for Reproductive Rights, the National Women’s Law Center, FreeFrom, the National Domestic Workers Alliance, and several groups focused on maternal health and Indigenous communities.
Rodrigo’s hird album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, opened last week with 485,000 first-week units, making it the biggest solo debut of 2026.
