103.5 The X Brownwood Rocks!

Primavera Sound has unveiled the lineups for its returning editions in Argentina and Brazil, continuing the festival’s expansion beyond its longtime home in Barcelona with two large-scale Latin American events later this year.
The offshoot festivals of the iconic annual Primavera Sound Barcelona gathering will take place Nov. 28–29 in Buenos Aires and Dec. 5–6 in São Paulo, marking the third editions in both cities after launches in 2022 and 2023. While the South American festivals carry their own local identities, the programming continues to mirror the eclectic, genre-blurring approach that has defined Primavera Sound since its founding in 2001.
More from Spin:
This year’s headliners include Gorillaz and the Strokes, both of whom will be supporting new albums (The Mountain and Reality Awaits, respectively). The lineup also features FKA twigs, Yung Lean, Lily Allen, CMAT and Courtney Barnett, alongside a broader mix of experimental pop, electronic music, punk, indie rock and regional artists. Several acts, including twigs, Yung Lean, and CMAT, will make their Latin American debuts at the festivals, while Allen returns to Argentina and Brazil for the first time in more than 15 years to perform her smash comeback album West End Girl in full.
As with Primavera’s Barcelona flagship, the undercard leans heavily into left-field and emerging artists. Names including underscores, Smerz, Sophia Stel, Danny L Harle, Nick León, Machine Girl, Model/Actriz, Ecco2k, Nation of Language, This Is Lorelei and Mannequin Pussy continue the festival’s tradition of balancing major headliners with more experimental acts and club culture mainstays.
The Buenos Aires lineup also spotlights Argentine artists including Juana Molina, Santiago Motorizado, Juliana Gattas and Juana Aguirre, while the São Paulo edition features Brazilian acts such as Duquesa, Gaby Amarantos, Zé Ibarra and DJ Ramon Sucesso. Festival organizers say additional city programming and parallel concerts will be announced in the coming months.
