SPIN Promotes Liza Lentini to Editor-in-Chief 

SPIN Media, owned by Jimmy Hutcheson and his Next Partners group, announced the promotion of Executive Editor Liza Lentini to Editor-in-Chief. 

Liza joined SPIN in 2020 as Features Editor, immediately bringing an increase in quality journalism, and has been an integral part in transforming the site into America’s best music and culture publication. She has brought many new, excellent writers into the fold and produced an impressive array of exclusive interviews and powerful stories, many of which she’s written herself.

Former Acting Editor-in-Chief Bob Guccione, Jr. will continue as consultant to the company and Editor of the recently revived print magazine. Liza is the first actual Editor-in-Chief of Hutcheson’s ownership.

Liza brings over two decades of editing experience, with a primary focus on long-form storytelling. She’s an award-winning playwright and has written for a wide range of national publications. In 2017 she helped found luxury travel site WONDERLUST.

Over the six years Liza has been at SPIN she has introduced many distinct editorial franchises, such as 5 Albums I Can’t Live Without and most recently Deep Cut Friday, spotlighting an artist’s catalog.
