Vince Staples Sets Full Band Fall Tour

With his new Loma Vista album Cry Baby having just materialized, Vince Staples will be backed by a full band on a supporting fall tour, which begins Oct. 19 in Atlanta and will conclude Nov. 15 in San Francisco.

The artist debuted the new onstage approach at recent Los Angeles warmup shows ahead of his set at Tennessee’s Bonnaroo festival last weekend, which featured all 11 songs from Cry Baby. The album made a rare debut on both Billboard‘s Top Rap and Top Rock/Alternative charts, opening at Nos. 11 and 18, respectively.

Critics have showered praise on Cry Baby, which is the follow-up to 2024’s Dark Times. Clash called it “deeply subversive — it’s cohesive, potent and immediate, but underneath all that sit some of Vince Staples’ downcast and oblique bars,” while The Skinny raved, “Staples’ devilish hymns from the depths make Cry Baby his most focused and concentrated work in recent memory.”

Tickets for the fall shows go on sale Friday (June 19). Beforehand, Staples will play a handful of one-offs, including Aug. 20 in Portland, Or., and eight days later at London’s All Points East festival.
